These terms cover clearance work carried out by Croydon Clearance Crew ("we", "us", "our"). By booking a collection with us, you're agreeing to them. They're written to be read, not to trip you up. If anything's unclear, just ask before we start.

1. Our service

We provide rubbish removal and clearance across Croydon and South London, collecting waste from your home, garden, business or site and disposing of it responsibly. We're a mobile, owner-run service; we come to you.

2. Quotes and pricing

We give a fixed price based on the photos and description you send us, chiefly on how much room the load takes up in the van. That price is what you'll pay, provided the job matches what you showed and told us. There's no charge to quote and no obligation to book.

If the job turns out to be materially different on the day (noticeably more waste than the photos showed, or items you didn't mention), we'll agree any change with you before we start work. We will never simply add to the price without telling you first.

3. Payment

Payment is due once the work is complete and you're satisfied, unless we've agreed otherwise in advance. We accept the usual methods, including card and bank transfer. For business and trade accounts we can agree terms in writing beforehand.

4. Booking, cancellation and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or move a booking, please let us know as early as you reasonably can so we can offer the slot to someone else. We may also need to reschedule occasionally, for example in severe weather or if a job overruns, and if so we'll contact you as soon as possible to arrange another time.

5. Access and your responsibilities

Please make sure we can safely reach the items to be cleared, and that anything you want us to take is what's actually left out for us. Where we're clearing a property in your absence, you're responsible for arranging safe access. Please remove or clearly set aside anything you want to keep before we arrive. Once a clearance is agreed and under way, we work on the basis that everything indicated is going.

6. Items we cannot take

For safety and legal reasons we can't carry certain hazardous materials, including asbestos, chemicals, bulk paint, gas bottles and clinical waste. If you're not sure, send a photo and we'll tell you honestly before we set off, and point you towards the right service for anything we can't handle.

7. How we handle your waste

We dispose of everything we collect responsibly: reusing and donating where we can, recycling wherever possible, and taking the rest to a licensed facility. You can request a waste transfer note as proof of proper disposal, which we'd always recommend for trade and business jobs given your duty of care for your own waste.

8. Insurance and liability

We're fully insured and we take care in your property. We'll always work carefully, but to the extent the law allows, we can't accept liability for pre-existing damage, for wear that comes from ordinary careful removal of heavy items, or for items you asked us to take that turn out to have had value to you. If something does go wrong that's our fault, tell us straight away and we'll put it right.

9. Your information and privacy

We only use the details you give us (your name, contact number, address and the photos you send) to quote for and carry out your job and to stay in touch about it. We don't sell your information to anyone. If you'd like us to delete your details after a job, just ask.

These terms may be updated from time to time; the version on this page is the one that applies. If you have any questions about them, or about a specific job, message us on WhatsApp or call 07709 655284 and we'll talk it through.
